Season 1 follows Special Agent Will Trent of the Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI). Abandoned at birth and raised in Atlanta’s foster care system, Will uses his traumatic past and sharp observational skills to solve complex criminal cases.
After uncovering corruption within the Atlanta Police Department, Will is assigned to work high-profile investigations, often clashing with local law enforcement — including his former partner and on-again, off-again love interest, Detective Angie Polaski.
