Narcos Season 2 continues the intense true-crime drama following the rise and eventual downfall of Pablo Escobar, the notorious leader of the Medellín Cartel. After negotiating his surrender at the end of Season 1, Escobar is imprisoned in his self-built luxury prison, La Catedral. However, it quickly becomes clear that he is still running his cocaine empire from behind bars.
When Escobar murders former cartel partners inside the prison, the Colombian government attempts to transfer him to a real facility. Refusing to lose control, Escobar escapes, triggering one of the largest manhunts in modern history.
Set in 1990s Colombia, the season follows the relentless pursuit led by DEA agent Steve Murphy and the Colombian Search Bloc. The United States intensifies its involvement, determined to end the global cocaine trafficking network flooding the United States.
